Generosity in motion
While we don't do a lot of fundraising events, we recently tried our hand at a Recipient Breakfast and we were BLOWN AWAY by the results. Not only did we raise over FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS we also felt the beating heart of Skagit Valley as local businesses helped make it possible.
These guys. . . we can't thank them enough. We were hoping for a little coffee to help get our morning off to a good start and they donated an entire buffet of delicious treats. Bagels (YUM), pastries, and piping hot coffee were just a few of the things that got our guests going! We had enough to cover our guests AND sated some volunteer teenage soccer players. If you've ever met a teenaged athlete, you know there must have been a LOT of food!
Wells specializes in woody ornamental trees, Japanese maples, and shrubs but that didn't stop them from providing the most delightful pop of color flowers for our tables. Being our first event, we'll be honest. . . we didn't know what we were doing. But Wells got us hooked up with gifts for the recipients in beautifully wrapped planters so each graduate could take a piece of the breakfast home with them. It was an incredibly thoughtful, meaningful touch and Wells made it happen. They have been operating in the Valley since 1937, so they know a thing or two about quality and community. If you're looking to level up your landscaping, look no further than Wells Nursery!
